This armada of blue jellyfish was found washed ashore at Barlings Beach in New South Wales. In Australia these jellyfish are called “bluebottles,” but outside the country they’re called the Portuguese man o’ wars. The species is fairly common in Australia. Last summer, disgruntled beachgoers reported the area was overrun with the creatures.
